During this summer, we met college and school leaders across Shimla, Mandi, Palampur and Manali. We did deep dives into why we have schools, how best to nurture our students and how can play increase motivation.
Shiksha Ek Khoj (education as discovery) is a leadership philosophy, dressed as an organization. To lead is to ask great questions and to search for better answers.
Leadership is more than charisma, it is deep thinking. Leading is the challenge and joy of figuring out and resolving dilemmas that a google search won't answer.
Play is necessary to imagine, to invent, to transcend time and to challenge existing norms. We don't play because we grow old; we grow old because we don't play.
